Breathing is crucial in any form of martial arts!

One of the fundamental methods to striking is breathing, when striking you always exhale. On the other side of the strike you once again exhale, whether you are punched or kicked.
Whenever you are breathing in or out the body has a certain amount of oxygen, when you inhale your blood pressure goes up and vice versa when you exhale. Despite exhaling there is still a certain amount of pressure that exists in your lungs, when a strike impacts your body and you don’t exhale the pressure hits your lungs, heart, and internal organs.
To prevent damage to vital organs it is crucial to exhale when taking a hit and when striking an opponent.
