So here, the bear hug has been successful and your attacker now has you at his mercy…or not!! The first thing you need to do here is stay on your feet and not go to the ground. From here and this may sound strange, pull your attacker in even closer to you by gripping him around his back and then place your forehead in the target area – the jaw, just below the ear and around the temple. You can now press hard on these areas and create a lot of pain for your attacker because there are a lot of nerves in those areas. If you really don’t like your attacker, you can head butt him as he moves away!
